Follow FocusAn Intermediate Lindy Hop workshop for leads and follows to learn how to make following AWESOME! Saturday, December 10, 2011
For Follows: footwork; techniques for turns and swivels; enhancing body movement and lines; and incorporating jazz movements and rhythms. We will really bring out your playfulness and sass! Leads: you won’t be left out! Learn to help your partner showcase some awesome moves, and how to collaborate with your Follow within Lindy Hop. All attendees, leads and follows, should be comfortable with Lindy Hop basics such as swingouts, sendouts, the Lindy circle, passes, and simple turns and need to have had a good amount of practice time with those concepts - perhaps 6+ months of regular social dancing. This workshop is for follows who are interested in adding more variations and polish to their movements, and leads who are interested in learning how to enable and participate in the creativity offered by the follows. PARKING INFORMATION: The Ohio Theatre is located across from the Ohio Statehouse at 39 East State Street, Columbus OH 43215. Enter from the walkway on the side of the theatre at the entrance closest to the park/furthest from State Street. Parking available at meters or in garages - the closest is the garage under Columbus Commons (enter from 3rd Street just after State Street). |
